St.Anthony’s Girls’ School of Panadura was inaugurated after separating from St. Anthony’s Mixed School.
This school was inaugurated on the 1st day of December 1951. Founder was Rev. Alex Ranasinha. It was an assisted school at first and the government took over the assisted schools it became Government schools under the provisions of the taking over of assisted school Act. Subsequently, this school was known as Panadura St. Anthony’s Girls’ School. The school began for female students in the 6th grade and had risen to G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination.
